Community Guidelines
Effective Date: March 16, 2026 · Last Updated: March 16, 2026
Trick Dash exists to create a safe, respectful space for the LGBTQ+ community. These guidelines apply to all users, in all modes, at all times. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.
The Short Version
Be yourself. Respect others. Don't be a creep. Don't share other people's stuff without permission. Remember there's a real person on the other end of every profile.
1. Respect & Consent
- Consent is everything. Don't send unsolicited explicit photos in Radar mode. Don't continue messaging someone who has asked you to stop. "No" means no — in any language.
- No harassment. This includes persistent unwanted contact, intimidation, threats, slurs, hate speech, doxxing, outing, or any behavior designed to make another person feel unsafe.
- No discrimination. Trick Dash welcomes users of all gender identities, sexual orientations, races, body types, HIV statuses, and abilities. Expressing preferences in your own profile is fine. Using those preferences to demean or exclude others in conversation is not.
- No outing. Never reveal or threaten to reveal someone's sexual orientation, gender identity, HIV status, or Dark Room activity to anyone outside the app. This is a fundamental safety boundary.
2. Profiles & Photos
Radar Mode
- Profile photos must be of you (no pets, landscapes, memes, or other people as your main photo).
- No nudity or sexually explicit content in Radar profile photos. Shirtless/underwear photos are permitted.
- No photos of minors, in any context, for any reason.
- No commercial content, advertisements, or logos as profile photos.
Dark Room Mode
Dark Room has separate content standards. Explicit content is permitted in Dark Room Flashes and photos, as Dark Room is accessible only to users who have explicitly opted in and only through the browser PWA (not the App Store version).
Even in Dark Room: all content must depict you, must involve adults only, and must be consensual. No content involving minors, non-consensual acts, or extreme/illegal content under any circumstances.
Profile Text
- No hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language.
- No solicitation of illegal activity.
- No personal contact information of others (phone numbers, addresses, social handles of people who are not you).
- No spam, commercial advertising, or cryptocurrency/financial solicitation.
3. Messaging
- Don't send unsolicited explicit images in Radar mode. In Dark Room, understand that explicit conversation is expected — but respect boundaries and consent at all times.
- Don't send threatening, abusive, or harassing messages.
- Don't use messaging to spam, solicit money, or promote external services.
- Don't share screenshots of private conversations without the other person's consent.
4. Safety
- Meeting in person: If you choose to meet someone from Trick Dash in person, tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting. Meet in public first. Trust your instincts.
- Your information: Be careful about sharing personally identifying information (full name, home address, workplace) with people you've just met on the app.
- Reporting: If someone makes you feel unsafe, use the Report button on their profile. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and the identity of the reporter is never disclosed to the reported user.
5. Identity & Authenticity
- Be who you are. Don't impersonate another person (real or fictional).
- Don't create multiple accounts to evade blocks or bans.
- Don't catfish — your Radar photos should be a current, honest representation of you.
- In Dark Room, anonymity is the point. You are free to use a different name and emoji avatar. But you may not impersonate a specific other person.
6. Zero Tolerance
The following will result in immediate and permanent ban without warning:
- Any content depicting, soliciting, or sexualizing minors
- Threats of violence or incitement of violence against any person or group
- Non-consensual sharing of intimate images ("revenge porn")
- Human trafficking, exploitation, or solicitation of prostitution
- Attempting to unmask or doxx another user's anonymous identity
- Distribution of malware or phishing attempts
We report suspected child exploitation material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
7. Events & Groups
- Event listings must be for real events. Don't create fake events to lure users.
- Event hosts are responsible for the safety and legality of their events.
- Group hosts may set their own additional rules, but all Trick Dash Community Guidelines still apply within groups.
8. Reporting & Enforcement
To report a violation, tap the Report (🚩) button on any profile or use the Report option in a chat's action menu. Include as much detail as possible. Our moderation team reviews reports and takes action based on the severity of the violation:
- Warning: First-time minor violations (e.g., inappropriate Radar photo).
- Content removal: Photos or text that violate guidelines are removed.
- Temporary suspension: Repeated violations or moderate offenses (1–30 days).
- Permanent ban: Severe violations or repeated moderate violations.
If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact appeals@trickdash.com.
9. A Note on Community
Trick Dash is built for and by the LGBTQ+ community. We know that many of us use apps like this not just for dating or hookups, but for connection, belonging, and finding our people — especially in places where being out isn't safe. We take that responsibility seriously. Help us keep this space good by treating each other with the respect and care our community deserves.
