About

In 19th-century Germany, young people at the edge of adulthood crash headlong into a world that wants to control their desire, curiosity, and hunger to be understood. The Tony Award-winning musical transforms Frank Wedekind’s 1891 play Spring Awakening into a visceral rock score that gives voice to every curiosity, confusion, and excitement about adolescent sexuality.
